Fear You Don't Have Any Passions? You do.

I’m so lucky that I’m surrounded everyday by people who eat, sleep + breathe their passions. It’s so inspiring to be in their presence + inhale all that energy.

This is most likely because I’m part of the fitness community - an industry most people aren’t forced to be in. They're there by choice, because they feel a genuine pull to help others live their best lives. It’s such a unique dynamic + I'm so grateful I get to experience these inspiring people everyday.

I often hear people talk about passions as if they are something you're born with or without. Those who get lucky, find their passions, while others look on longingly hoping they, too, will one day discover their passions.

What I’ve found is that passions are developed based on leveraging your strengths + minimizing your weaknesses. People are passionate about things they feel + know they have the skill set to accomplish. If you didn't have the skills - those necessary tools within you - to pursue that passion, you wouldn’t be able to dream that dream. Feel me?!

If you believe in a higher energy, God, the Universe, you already know what I’m talking about. You know there is a fire within you that you didn’t put there. Sometimes, you can’t explain it. Sometimes, you don’t know what it’s saying. But, you always feel an ache for it when you’re not in alignment with it. It's real but you have no way of expressing this to others without them thinking you’re a little nutzo.

For those of you who feel that you don’t share this same fiery passion, I’m here to tell you, you do. Everyone has something unique that lights them up, that makes them feel excited + enthusiastic. The trouble might be that you haven’t been paying enough attention to getting to know yourself.

My challenge to you is to look inward. Become so self-aware that you become your own best friend. Get to know yourself more. The answers to all of your questions lie within. The more you practice getting in tune with your self + your soul, the easier decision-making will become, the easier it will be to leave toxic relationships behind, the higher you will vibrate + the more abundance you will attract.

Now, if you know yourself inside + out - know what you’re passionate about - but aren’t doing at least an hour a day of it, you’re out of alignment.

If you can’t seem to figure out why nothing goes right, why things don’t work out, why you feel unfulfilled, why you’re depressed/anxious/overwhelmed, well, this is why

It’s the Universe’s way of pushing you to the point of you finally surrendering to what you’re here to do.

If you know what you’re passionate about, right now, do something about it. Start your blog, design that activewear line you’ve been dreaming out, open your non-profit. The best way to go from where you are now to where you want to be is to just start.

For those of you who feel you don’t know what your passions are, you can start with these tools. Amazon Prime the book Strengths Finder 2.0. I'll wait here.

Got it?! Cool.

There will be a code in the back of the book, when you get it, for an online assessment. It takes a bit of time to complete but this is amazing information for you to know about yourself for the rest of your life (plus, it gives you something interesting to talk about in interviews).

In the meantime, you can take a Meyers-Briggs personality test here on 16personalities.com. Once again, it takes time but you will get in-depth information into your personality type, which helps with not only self-awareness, but also with knowing what works for you and what doesn’t. You’ll have a lot of “aha!” moments. Promise.

These assessments help give you context into what you might already enjoy doing but don't think of as passions. It might spark your creativity + ignite that fire you didn't think you had.

My five strengths are ideation, positivity, adaptability, maximizer + developer. These strengths are completely inline with my passion for coaching + helping others to live the highest version of themselves.

The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away. - Pablo Picasso

Here are some questions to help get you get in touch with who you truly are:

When am I having the most fun?

What do people constantly praise me for? What do they tell me I'm good at?

What would my perfect day look like? Where would I work + for how long?

What would I do if I knew, for sure, I couldn't fail?

What was one job I've done, regardless of money, where I genuinely enjoyed the work?

What aspect of my currently life is no longer serving me?

What did I want to be when I was a kid? What play/pretend games did I play with my friends?

What do I want my life to look like? Feel like?

Hopefully some of these questions sparked some internal conversation.
